A Justice Department summary of a case that rocked the nation (“Secret Service gets serviced in Cartagena Colombia”) was just released this past December. Like the saying goes, it’s nothing new under the sun, moon and stars or it’s just the same shit warmed up all over again.
Sex Workers knew how much America loves them in the dark and hates them in the light. The report showed that a Drug Enforcement Agent brokered the deal for one of his secret service homies just ahead of President Obama’s arrival in Colombia last year. Sex is big business in America. I stand corrected. All over the world is a better statement.
In 2012 I wrote countless articles involving sex and Sex Workers. Just to refresh your memory, I’ll mention a few of the players from the sex highlight film from 2012; a F.B.I agent got caught in a scandal with someone he arrested, a state trooper was accused of being a pimp and a New York City police officer was accused of pimpin’. The point is, from local law enforcement all the way to the president’s security detail—Sex Workers provide a much needed service. As an industry we have to obey all laws and make people see that this can be a rewarding profession that demands respect.
