Anna Gristina, the so-called hockey/soccer mom madam pled guilty to a single felony charge of promoting prostitution. Her plea guaranteed her a six month sentence. After receiving the slap on the wrist, she spent 45 minutes going through the system and was set free. After calculating the time she spent in jail (4 months) during pre-trial and subtracting for good time (2 months), her time was up.
Anna Gristina set the example of how not to lose your cool under pressure. She was being watched by the cops for years, had Sex Worker best friends cooperate against her and even had her accountant join the list of rats who piled on to take her down, and she never folded. She copped a plea and took her time without becoming a rat and exposing any of her high profile clients that the government was starving to get their hands on. All Sex Workers should strive to have the integrity Anna displayed.
When Anna’s lawyer, Norman Pattis, was asked outside of the court house about the DA’s statements that Anna was nothing but a pimp who rented women’s bodies for profit, he responded with the wise crack of the year. He said “look at the DA’s office itself”. She pled to a sting involving one cop who paid two grand of tax payers money to watch two women engage in cunnilingus. “So who’s the pimp? Cyrus Vance?” Masterfully done! When asked what lessons she learned from the criminal justice system, Anna replied “the system is more corrupt than the mafia.”
